Convert ("we", "us", "the Service") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we process and why. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Files you convert

Small files are converted entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly. These files are never uploaded to our servers. Larger files, and formats that require server-side processing, are uploaded over an encrypted connection, converted in an isolated sandbox, and deleted automatically shortly after the conversion completes. We do not inspect, share, or retain your file contents.

2. Information we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. We may process:

• Technical data — IP address and request metadata, used only for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and security.
• Job metadata — the chosen conversion type and a temporary job identifier, kept briefly to deliver your download.
• Local preferences — theme and language, stored in your browser's local storage; never sent to us.

3. Cookies and advertising

We display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and personalise ads and to measure their performance. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

4. Consent (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

5. Data retention

Uploaded files and their converted outputs are deleted automatically after a short period. Job metadata expires within 24 hours. We do not build user profiles.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. To make a request, contact us at support@theconvert.cn.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
